• Prabhu was the one who pushed K. S. Ravikumar to direct Periya Kudumbam (1995). Ravikumar was hesitant — he had only assisted before. Prabhu insisted, saying he trusted him with a big family drama. That film became Ravikumar's directorial debut.
• On the sets of Parambarai (1996), Ravikumar would let Prabhu improvise his comedy lines. Prabhu's natural timing would then make Ravikumar rewrite the next scene's dialogue to match the energy. They fed off each other's rhythm in real time.
• After Parambarai, they didn't work together for 20 years. But when Theri (2016) happened, Ravikumar called Prabhu directly — no agents, no formal offers. He just said, 'I need you for a cameo.' Prabhu showed up the next day.
• Periya Kudumbam (1995) was the film that launched Ravikumar's signature style — large family ensembles with emotional twists. Every later Ravikumar hit like Muthu and Padayappa owes its template to what he first tested with Prabhu in that film.
