• Prabhu was the one who pushed for Rajendran to be cast in Theri (2016). The director Atlee was initially unsure, but Prabhu insisted Rajendran was perfect for the villain role. That call changed Rajendran's career trajectory in mainstream cinema.
• In Theri, Prabhu played the calm, righteous father figure while Rajendran played the unhinged antagonist. Their scenes together worked because Prabhu deliberately slowed his delivery to let Rajendran's manic energy fill the silence — a rhythm they never rehearsed, just felt on set.
