• Sathish was actually a last-minute addition to Remo (2016). The director wanted a different comedian, but Sathish walked into the audition, cracked one joke, and Naren — who was already cast — told the team, 'Lock him. He's the guy.'
• In Bairavaa (2017), Naren played the villain and Sathish played the comic sidekick. They never shared a single scene together. Their entire 'collaboration' was just being in the same movie — and they still made it work by feeding off each other's energy during the shoot's downtime.
• Aruvam (2019) was the only film where they actually had a proper face-off scene. That scene — where Naren's character threatens Sathish's — became a meme template in Tamil social media for 'boss vs sidekick' arguments. It's still used in fan edits today.
• During the Remo shoot, Naren and Sathish discovered they both grew up in the same Chennai neighbourhood — Vyasarpadi. They started calling each other 'area boys' on set and would sneak out between shots to eat at a local stall that Naren's father used to run.
• Sathish once said in a 2019 interview: 'Naren anna is the only actor who made me nervous. Not because he's scary — but because he never breaks character. Even when the director said cut, he'd stay in the zone. I had to match that.'
