• Ajay and Praveen first teamed up for Rowdy Fellow (2014) after Praveen saw Ajay's short film and called him directly. Ajay was initially hesitant because he thought Praveen was too young to direct a feature.
• On the sets of 90 ML (2019), Praveen let Ajay improvise most of his drunk scenes. Ajay's unscripted lines became the film's biggest laughs and saved the movie from its weak plot.
• Thimmarusu: Assignment Vali (2021) was the first Telugu film to get a direct OTT release on a major platform during the pandemic. Ajay and Praveen pushed for that release strategy together, and it set a trend for mid-budget Telugu films skipping theatres.
• Ajay and Praveen have a standing rule: they never discuss scripts over the phone. Every single one of their six films was planned over chai at the same small tea stall in Hyderabad's Film Nagar.
• Praveen once said in an interview: 'Ajay is the only actor who will tell me my scene is boring to his face. He doesn't care if I'm the director. That's why I keep going back to him.'
• For Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam (2024), Ajay insisted on shooting the climax in one continuous take. Praveen agreed but made Ajay rehearse it 22 times before the actual shot. The final take made it to the film.
