• Ajay and Indraja first shared screen space in Prathinidhi 2 (2024) because the director needed a fresh pair for a high-stakes political drama. Neither had worked together before, and the casting was a last-minute decision after the original female lead dropped out.
• In Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam (2024), Ajay set the emotional pace with his deadpan delivery, and Indraja matched it with micro-expressions — no overacting, just silent reactions. That film’s most talked-about scene is a 3-minute stretch where neither speaks, only exchanges glances.
• During the shoot of Thala (2025), Ajay and Indraja developed a ritual: before every intense scene, they’d share a cup of chai and talk about anything except the film. Indraja later said it helped them stay loose and avoid the tension of the script.
• Indraja told a behind-the-scenes interviewer during Thala: 'Ajay doesn't act — he just becomes the character. I had to stop acting and just react. That’s why our scenes feel real.'
• Because of their back-to-back releases in 2024, a small-budget indie director approached them for a 2026 project — directly inspired by the grounded, no-music-interval vibe of Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam. That film is now in pre-production.
