• G. V. Prakash Kumar was already a famous music composer when he decided to act. Anandhi was a newcomer. He personally asked director Adhik Ravichandran to cast her in Trisha Illana Nayanthara (2015) because he felt a fresh face would make their pairing more believable.
• In Enakku Innoru Per Irukku (2016), Anandhi did most of the heavy lifting in emotional scenes while G. V. Prakash handled the comedy. She later said he deliberately underplayed his reactions so her performance would stand out — a rare move from a male lead.
• During the shoot of Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru (2016), Anandhi and G. V. Prakash developed a running joke where they'd call each other by their characters' names even off-camera. The crew joined in, and the director had to yell 'cut' twice — once for the scene, once for the laughter.
• Anandhi said in a 2016 interview: 'GV sir never treated me like a junior artist. He would ask my opinion on every scene. That’s rare for a debut heroine working with a star.'
