The 2010s account for 75% of everything they made together. The 2010s belonged to Pottu; the 2020s to Viruman. Karunas acted in every film; Singampuli acted in all of them. Strictly Tamil cinema — they never crossed industries together.

Partnership facts

• Singampuli was the one who brought Karunas into Ragalaipuram (2013). He convinced the director that Karunas' raw comic timing would balance his own deadpan style. The director was hesitant at first.
• In Ka Ka Ka Po (2016), Karunas wrote most of his own dialogue on set. Singampuli would then rewrite his lines to create a call-and-response rhythm. They never rehearsed together — they just fed off each other in the moment.
• Pottu (2019) was the first Tamil film to use a single continuous shot for an entire comedy sequence involving two leads. That 12-minute scene became a reference point for indie comedies that followed.
• During the shoot of Ragalaipuram, Karunas and Singampuli shared a room in a small lodge. They would stay up past midnight improvising scenes, then wake up and shoot them the next morning exactly as they'd worked out.
• Singampuli once said in an interview: 'With Karunas, I don't need a script. I just need a starting point. He'll take it somewhere I never imagined, and I just follow.'
