• Sathish was a TV anchor before Maan Karate. Vamsi Krishna saw him on a comedy show and cast him without an audition. Sathish thought it was a prank call.
• In Maan Karate, Vamsi wrote Sathish's dialogue in English first, then translated it to Tamil. Sathish would rephrase it in his own slang on set. That back-and-forth became their writing process for all three films.
• During Vaa Deal, Vamsi and Sathish shared a room in a cheap lodge for 40 days. They wrote the climax at 3 AM on a napkin because they ran out of paper.
• Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva was the first Tamil film where Sathish got top billing alongside the lead. That poster directly led to him being cast as a solo lead in later films like Katha Solla Porom.
• Vamsi Krishna told a Chennai press meet in 2017: 'Sathish doesn't act. He just reacts. I write the setup, he finds the punch. That's our only rule.'
• On the set of Vaa Deal, Vamsi would deliberately not give Sathish the full script for his scenes. He wanted Sathish to discover the joke in the moment. The first take was always the one they kept.
