• Singampuli personally called Nizhalgal Ravi to pitch him a role in Engalukku Veru Kilaigal Kidaiyathu (2015). Ravi later said he said yes before hearing the full script — just because Singampuli asked.
• In 9 Thirudargal (2015), Singampuli wrote a scene where his character had to slap Nizhalgal Ravi. Ravi insisted he do it for real on the first take. Singampuli hesitated, Ravi yelled 'do it', and the slap left a mark. That take made the final cut.
• During the shoot of Baby & Baby (2025), Singampuli brought homemade biryani for the entire crew every Friday. Nizhalgal Ravi would sit with him under a tree and eat from the same banana leaf — a ritual they started on their first film together.
• Singampuli once told a behind-the-scenes interviewer: 'Ravi anna doesn't act. He just stands there and the camera loves him. I have to work ten times harder to keep up.'
