• For Thenavattu (2008), director Ezhil deliberately paired Delhi Ganesh and Ganja Karuppu as a comedy duo after seeing them separately in smaller roles. He told them: 'You two look like you've been fighting for decades.' That one line became their entire on-screen dynamic.
• In Sandikuthirai (2016), Delhi Ganesh would deliberately flub his lines in the first take to make Ganja Karuppu laugh. Karuppu's real irritation then became the scene's energy. The director kept those takes because the anger looked more real than anything scripted.
• Between films, Delhi Ganesh would call Ganja Karuppu every time he saw a new comedy actor on TV and say, 'This guy is trying to be you. You better work again.' That phone call habit started after Thenavattu and lasted until Madurai Manikkuravar.

• Madurai Manikkuravar (2021) almost didn't happen because Ganja Karuppu had a scheduling conflict. Delhi Ganesh personally called the producer and said, 'If you replace him, replace me too.' That was the only time he ever threatened to walk off a film for a co-star.
