• Ravichandran was initially hesitant to star opposite Saroja Devi in 'Odum Nadhi' (1969) because she was a bigger star at the time. She personally called him and said, 'Don't worry, we'll make it work.' That call sealed the deal.
• In 'Malathi' (1970), Saroja Devi deliberately slowed down her dialogue delivery to match Ravichandran's natural rhythm. She told the director, 'Let him set the pace — I'll follow.' That film became a sleeper hit because their timing felt real.
