• Madhoo was the one who brought Dharmendra into 'Zulm-O-Sitam' (1998). She had already signed the film, and when the producers needed a big name opposite her, she personally requested Dharmendra to step in. He agreed because of her.
• On the sets of 'Zulm-O-Sitam', Dharmendra would often call Madhoo 'bahu' (daughter-in-law) as a joke, because she had played his son's love interest in 'Dil Tera Aashiq' (1993). The nickname stuck through all three films.
• In 'Tell Me O Kkhuda' (2011), Dharmendra deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in every scene with Madhoo. He told the director he wanted her emotional beats to land first, so the audience would feel her pain before his reaction.
• Their third film 'Khalli Balli' (2022) was shot entirely during the pandemic lockdown. Madhoo and Dharmendra were the only two actors on set for most scenes — no crew, no extras. The director operated the camera himself while they performed.
• Madhoo said in a 2022 interview: 'Dharamji never treated me like a co-star. He treated me like a daughter he was protecting on set. Even when we were doing a romantic scene, he'd check if I was comfortable first.'
