• Yuva (2004) was supposed to be Vivek Oberoi's big break after Company, but he almost lost the role. Mani Ratnam was unsure about casting him opposite Esha Deol. Vivek flew to Chennai, narrated the entire script back to Ratnam from memory, and locked the part in one meeting.
• In Kaal (2005), Esha Deol did all her own stunts in the tiger chase sequence. Vivek Oberoi was so impressed he insisted the director let her lead the scene instead of him. He told the crew, 'She's braver than me — let her run first.'
• During Pyare Mohan (2006), Vivek Oberoi and Esha Deol developed a running joke where they'd only speak to each other in exaggerated South Indian accents — even when the director called 'cut'. The crew started joining in, and it became the set's unofficial language for the entire shoot.
• Esha Deol said about Vivek Oberoi in a 2006 interview: 'He is the only co-star who would rehearse a scene with me 20 times before the take, then completely throw it away on camera and do something wild. I learned to trust my instincts because of him.'
• The failure of Pyare Mohan (2006) — a blind-and-deaf buddy comedy — directly ended the trend of disability-themed comedies in Bollywood for nearly a decade. No major studio touched the genre again until 2015's Dum Laga Ke Haisha. Esha and Vivek's film killed the cycle.
