• Jackie Shroff and Vinod Khanna first shared screen space in Aakhri Adaalat (1988) because the director, S. A. Chandrasekhar, wanted a fresh pairing for a courtroom drama. He cast them as rival lawyers — a setup that forced them to play off each other's intensity from day one.
• In Pathar Ke Insan (1990), Vinod Khanna played a blind man, and Jackie Shroff played his caretaker. Jackie later said that Vinod would deliberately stay in character between takes — never making eye contact — which pushed Jackie to rely on voice and touch for every reaction, making their scenes feel raw and unscripted.
• During the shoot of Hulchul (1995), Jackie Shroff would drive Vinod Khanna to the set every morning because Vinod had recently sold his car. They'd stop for chai at the same dhaba, and Jackie later joked that Vinod never once offered to pay.
• Jackie Shroff once said about Vinod Khanna: 'He was the only co-star who could make me nervous. In Aakhri Adaalat, I forgot my lines twice because his voice was so commanding. I told him, "Bhai, thoda easy karo." He just laughed.'
• The only reason these three films exist is that Vinod Khanna personally recommended Jackie Shroff to producer K. C. Bokadia for Pathar Ke Insan. Bokadia had wanted a bigger star opposite Vinod, but Vinod insisted — and that film became the only one where they played friends instead of rivals.
