• David Dhawan cast Raveena Tandon in 'Deewana Mastana' (1997) after she had a massive hit with 'Mohra' (1994). He needed a leading lady who could match the comic timing of Anil Kapoor and Govinda — and Raveena was his first call.
• In 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' (1998), Raveena played a double role — and David Dhawan specifically wrote one of the characters to be a spoof of her own 'Mohra' image. She had to parody herself while keeping the comedy straight, which she pulled off without breaking character.
