• They first met on the set of Delhi-6 in 2009. Atul was already a National Award winner. Divya was nervous. He broke the ice by asking her for a chai break. That one cup of tea turned into a 10-year friendship.
• In 706 (2019), Atul played a cold-blooded killer. Divya played his wife. The director said their real-life comfort made the violence scarier — because you could see the love underneath the horror. Divya later said Atul would whisper jokes between takes to keep her from crying.
• Divya once called Atul her 'cinema therapist.' After every film together, they'd sit in his car and dissect every scene they'd shot — what worked, what didn't, what they'd do differently. They never did this with anyone else on set.

• Their third film together, Gul Makai (2020), was a biopic about Malala Yousafzai. Atul played her father, Divya played her mother. The film was the first time a mainstream Hindi movie cast two established actors as parents of a real-life teenage icon — a casting move that later inspired similar choices in The Sky Is Pink and Sam Bahadur.
