• Kaali Venkat was a theatre actor with zero film experience when Nassar cast him in Pizza 2: The Villa (2013). Nassar saw him in a stage play and told the director, 'This guy has the face of a man who has seen too much.' That one line got Venkat his first movie role.
• In Irudhi Suttru (2016), Nassar played the ruthless boxing coach who never smiles. Kaali Venkat played the comic-relief sidekick who never stops smiling. The director said he kept them in the same frame specifically to let Venkat's warmth crack Nassar's stone face — and it worked. That tension became the film's emotional anchor.
• Their 1945 (2022) was the first Tamil film to get a theatrical release in post-war Sri Lanka.
