• Sathyaraj and Seetha first faced the camera together in 'Mallu Vetti Minor' (1990), but the film was a remake of a Malayalam hit. Sathyaraj had already seen the original and specifically asked the director to cast Seetha, who was then a rising star in Malayalam cinema, to bring that same energy to the Tamil version.
• In 'Maaran' (2002), their only action-heavy collaboration, Sathyaraj played the intense father while Seetha played the soft-spoken mother. The director later revealed that Sathyaraj deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in scenes with Seetha, so her quieter, more naturalistic performance wouldn't get drowned out. He set the pace to match her rhythm.
• After 'Mallu Vetti Minor' wrapped, Sathyaraj and Seetha didn't speak for nearly a decade. The reason? A misunderstanding over a missed phone call during the film's promotion. They only patched things up on the sets of 'Maaran' (2002), when Sathyaraj walked up to her and said, 'Let's just start over.'
• Their third and final film together, 'Thambi' (2019), directly launched the career of child actor Ashwanth Ashokkumar, who played the younger version of Sathyaraj's character.
