• For Madhanam (2019), director R. Chandru cast Tanikella Bharani first, then asked him to suggest someone for the antagonist. Bharani personally recommended Ajay Ghosh, who had never played a negative role before. That one recommendation changed Ghosh's career trajectory.
• In Nallamala (2022), Tanikella Bharani deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in every confrontation scene. He told Ajay Ghosh on set, 'You react first, then I'll speak.' This gave Ghosh the space to build tension without being overshadowed by Bharani's veteran presence.
• Because of their back-and-forth in Madhanam, director R. Chandru wrote a completely new subplot for them in Prathinidhi 2 (2024). That subplot — two old friends on opposite sides of a political divide — became the most talked-about track in the film, even trending on X for two days after release.
• On the sets of all three films, Tanikella Bharani and Ajay Ghosh shared a single chair between takes. Ghosh would always sit on the armrest, leaving the seat for Bharani. When asked why, Ghosh said, 'He's my guru. I don't sit while he stands.'
