• Mithun Chakraborty was already a star when he agreed to do Tadipaar (1993), but the film was meant to launch Pooja Bhatt as a solo lead. She was only 21. He reportedly took a pay cut so the budget could go to her costumes and sets.
• In Naaraaz (1994), Mithun played a violent, brooding husband and Pooja played his terrified wife. She later said he deliberately stayed in character between takes — not speaking to her, keeping his face hard — so her fear on camera would be real.
• Pooja Bhatt has said in interviews that Mithun treated her like a younger sister on set. He would check if she had eaten, and once stopped a scene because he noticed she was shivering in a wet saree — he made the crew wrap her in towels first.
