• For Vaada Poda Nanbargal (2011), director A. L. Vijay cast Nandha as the lead but brought in Crane Manohar for a supporting role after seeing his comic timing in a stage play. Manohar was so nervous on day one that Nandha pulled him aside and said, 'Just react to me. I'll set the rhythm.' That became their unspoken rule for all three films.
• In Katham Katham (2015), Nandha deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in every scene with Manohar. He knew Manohar's strength was physical comedy — exaggerated pauses and facial reactions — so he gave him space to breathe. The result: Manohar's silent double-takes became the film's most shared GIFs on Tamil meme pages.
• During the shoot of Rajavum 5 Koojavum (2022), Nandha and Manohar shared a room in a budget lodge near the set. Every night, they'd rehearse the next day's scene by acting it out in reverse — starting from the last line and working backwards. Manohar later said it helped them find 'the hidden joke in every pause.'
• Crane Manohar once told a behind-the-scenes interviewer: 'Nandha doesn't act with you. He acts at you. He throws the ball so hard that you have to catch it or get hit. I chose to catch it — and that's why our scenes look like a real fight.'
• The success of their comic pairing in Vaada Poda Nanbargal directly inspired director M. Muthaiah to cast them together again in Katham Katham. Muthaiah admitted in a 2016 interview that he wrote the entire second half of that film around their 'push-and-pull' rhythm — a template later copied by at least three other low-budget comedies in 2017.
