• Meena was just 12 when she acted opposite R. Parthiban in Anbulla Rajinikanth (1984). Parthiban was 27. She played Rajinikanth's younger sister, not a love interest — so their first film together was a sibling act.
• In Bharathi Kannamma (1997), Parthiban directed and acted opposite Meena. He deliberately shot her scenes in long, unbroken takes — forcing her to hold emotion without cuts. She later said that style made her trust him completely as a director.
• After Ivan (2002) flopped, Parthiban and Meena stopped working together entirely. No public fight, no interview about it — they just never signed another film. Twenty years later, neither has explained the silence.
• Meena once said in a 2000 interview: 'Parthiban sir doesn't let me act like a heroine. He makes me act like a real person. That's scary but I love it.'
