• For Ravoyi Chandamama (1999), Nagarjuna personally called Jagapathi Babu and asked him to play the villain. Jagapathi was hesitant because he had just played a negative role in a big film. Nagarjuna convinced him by saying the role had shades of grey, not pure evil.
• In Om Namo Venkatesaya (2017), Nagarjuna played the young Venkateswara and Jagapathi played the older version. They never shared a single frame together. The entire collaboration was a passing of the baton — one actor's performance ended where the other's began.
• Jagapathi Babu has said in interviews that Nagarjuna is the reason he started taking his career seriously.
