• Balakrishna personally called Jagapathi Babu to play the villain in Legend (2014). Jagapathi was hesitant because he had never played a full-length negative role before. Balakrishna convinced him over the phone, saying the role would redefine his career.
• In Jai Simha (2018), Balakrishna played a violent, larger-than-life hero while Jagapathi Babu played a cold, calculating antagonist. The film’s director, KS Ravi Kumar, said their contrasting energies — Balakrishna’s raw aggression and Jagapathi’s controlled menace — created the film’s best confrontations.
