• Tabu was the first choice for Hera Pheri, but she initially said no because she didn't want to play a loud comedy role. Akshay personally called her and convinced her to take it, promising she'd have fun. She agreed, and it became one of her most iconic comic performances.
• In Hera Pheri, Akshay's manic energy and Tabu's deadpan timing created a rhythm that Priyadarshan deliberately leaned into. He told them to never rehearse together — he wanted Akshay to surprise Tabu on set so her reactions would be genuinely caught off-guard.
