• Rana once said in an interview: 'Brahmanandam garu can make you laugh with just a pause. I learned more about timing from his silences than from anyone's dialogues.'
• Brahmanandam was the one who suggested Rana for the role of Chalukya Veerabhadra in Rudramadevi. He told director Gunasekhar that Rana's towering frame would make the villain look truly menacing.
• In Naa Ishtam (2012), Brahmanandam improvised an entire comedy track on set while Rana played straight man. Rana later said he just stood there and tried not to laugh — because Brahmanandam kept changing the dialogue every take.
• During the shoot of Rudramadevi, Rana would drive Brahmanandam home after late-night shifts because the comedian didn't like driving in Hyderabad traffic. They'd stop for chai at the same dhaba every time.
• Their only hit together — NTR Kathanayakudu (2019) — was the first time Brahmanandam played a serious, non-comic role opposite Rana. That film's success convinced other directors to cast Brahmanandam in straight roles, which he rarely got before.
• They never shared a single scene in Naa Ishtam despite being in the same film. The director had to shoot their portions separately because Rana was juggling two other films that month. They only met on set for the climax shot.
