• Srikanth was a rising star when he signed Maa Nannaki Pelli (1997), but Koti was still finding his footing as a music director. Srikanth personally insisted Koti get the film, giving him his first big break in a lead hero project.
• Koti’s folk-heavy, percussion-driven songs in Gillikajjalu (1998) matched Srikanth’s raw, energetic screen presence perfectly. Srikanth would often ask Koti to add extra beats to dance numbers so he could show off his footwork — a rhythm no other composer gave him.
• The song 'Kotha Kotha' from Pilla Nachindi (1999) became a template for Srikanth’s later mass-hero image. Koti’s mix of dappu and synth in that track directly influenced the sound of Srikanth’s next big hit, Nuvvu Nenu (2001), though that film had a different composer.
