The Singampuli & Delhi Ganesh partnership

They saved their best for last — Aranmanai 4 (6.9/10) came 11 years in. From Ragalaipuram (2013) to Konjam Kadhal Konjam Modhal (2025). Their most recent film, Konjam Kadhal Konjam Modhal, came out in 2025 — the partnership is still active.

It started with Ragalaipuram (2013).

The shape of the work

The 2010s account for 60% of everything they made together. The 2010s belonged to Ragalaipuram; the 2020s to Aranmanai 4. Singampuli acted in every film; Delhi Ganesh acted in all of them. Strictly Tamil cinema — they never crossed industries together.

Partnership facts

  • Delhi Ganesh was the one who recommended Singampuli to director S. S. Stanley for Ragalaipuram (2013). Ganesh had seen Singampuli's comic timing in a stage play and told Stanley, 'This guy will steal every scene you put him in.' That recommendation got Singampuli his first major break in a full-length comedy role.
  • In Enna Thavam Seitheno (2018), Singampuli and Delhi Ganesh played a father-son duo. Ganesh deliberately slowed down his delivery in every scene to let Singampuli's rapid-fire punchlines land harder. Singampuli later said Ganesh would whisper 'wait for it' before his own lines, giving Singampuli the space to build the joke.
  • On the sets of Engalukku Veru Kilaigal Kidaiyathu (2015), the two shared a room during the entire outdoor schedule in Kumbakonam. Every night, they would rehearse the next day's scenes by acting them out in full costume for the hotel staff, who became their test audience. The director said the final takes were almost identical to those hotel room versions.
  • The success of their comic track in Aranmanai 4 (2024) directly led to the production of Konjam Kadhal Konjam Modhal (2025). The producer saw the audience roar during their scene together in a test screening and greenlit a separate film built entirely around their pairing.
  • Singampuli said about Delhi Ganesh in a 2024 interview: 'He doesn't act with you. He listens to you. That's rare. Most comedians are waiting for their turn. Ganesh anna waits for my turn too.'
