• Pugazh was actually a last-minute replacement for Aneethi. The original actor dropped out two weeks before shooting, and Singampuli pushed the producers to cast Pugazh based on a single audition tape he saw at 2 AM.
• In Aneethi, Singampuli deliberately slowed down his usual rapid-fire dialogue delivery to match Pugazh's more measured, deadpan rhythm. Pugazh later said that adjustment made the film's tense scenes land harder.
• They share a weird ritual: before every first day of shoot, Singampuli buys Pugazh a packet of raw mango slices with chili powder. Started during Aneethi because Pugazh was nervous, and it stuck.
