• Singampuli and Vaiyapuri first shared screen space in 'Unaku 20 Enaku 40' (2013) because director S. J. Surya needed two distinct comic foils for his double role. He cast them as a pair of bumbling sidekicks who never met each other's eyes in the same frame — a deliberate blocking choice to heighten the confusion.
• In 'Ragalaipuram' (2013), Singampuli played the straight man to Vaiyapuri's hyperactive chatterbox. Vaiyapuri would improvise three or four lines per take, and Singampuli would react with deadpan silence — the director kept the takes where Singampuli didn't break character, which became the film's funniest pauses.
• Between 2013 and 2025, the two never exchanged phone numbers. Every project was coordinated through a common assistant director. Vaiyapuri once told a magazine that they only ever spoke on set, and even then, only in character.
• Vaiyapuri said in a 2025 interview: 'Singampuli is the only actor who can make me laugh without saying a word. I would do ten takes just to see his face stay the same.'
• Their double-act in 'Unaku 20 Enaku 40' directly inspired the comic duo track in the 2015 film 'Vedhalam' — the director of that film admitted in a behind-the-scenes feature that he rewatched their scenes to study how to balance two comedians without one overshadowing the other.
