• Siddharth was the one who pushed Bagavathi Perumal to direct Jigarthanda. The actor had seen Perumal's short film and insisted he expand it into a feature. Perumal was hesitant — he thought no one would produce it. Siddharth told him, 'I'll act in it. Let's just make it.'
• On the sets of Jigarthanda, Siddharth would rewrite his own dialogues the night before shooting. Bagavathi Perumal let him do it — but only if Siddharth explained why the new line was better. This back-and-forth became their rhythm: Perumal built the structure, Siddharth filled in the beats.
• Jigarthanda directly launched the career of actor Bobby Simha. He won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as the gangster 'Sethu'. That performance exists only because Siddharth and Bagavathi Perumal cast a relative unknown in a part that could have gone to a bigger name.
• After Jigarthanda became a hit, Bagavathi Perumal and Siddharth barely spoke for two years. No fight — just drifted apart. They reunited only when Siddharth called Perumal out of the blue to ask if he wanted to make a comedy. That call became Jil Jung Juk.
