• Ayesha Takia was the one who suggested Shahid Kapoor for Dil Maange More (2004). The director, Anant Mahadevan, had already locked another actor, but Ayesha pushed for Shahid after working with him in a music video. She told the press she 'fought' to get him the role.
• In Dil Maange More, Shahid played a small-town guy chasing multiple women. Ayesha played the one who got away. Their scenes together had a playful push-pull — she kept him on his toes, and he responded with nervous energy that made his character's desperation feel real.
• During the shoot of Fool n Final (2007), Shahid and Ayesha reportedly had a falling out over a prank gone wrong. Shahid hid her phone on set, and she didn't find it funny. They didn't speak for two days. Director Ahmed Khan had to mediate.
