• Puneet Issar and Aarti Gupta first worked together in Purana Mandir (1984) because the Ramsay brothers needed a fresh face to play the female lead opposite Issar's hero. Aarti was a last-minute replacement after the original actress walked out over the film's graphic horror content.
• In 3D Saamri (1985), Issar's loud, theatrical style as the hero clashed perfectly with Gupta's quiet, terrified reactions. She made his rage look bigger by shrinking into every frame — he fed off her fear to sell the monster's menace.
• Their third film together, Tahkhana (1986), was the first Hindi horror movie to use a fully underground set built in a real basement. The claustrophobic space forced Issar and Gupta to shoot all their scenes in one continuous take per setup — a technique that later inspired the Ramsays' own Purani Haveli (1989).
