• In 'Ghoonghat' (1997), Mushtaq Khan and Satish Kaushik were cast as comic sidekicks by director Vikram Bhatt. Neither had worked together before, and the film's low budget meant they shared a cramped vanity van — that's where they first cracked each other's rhythm.
• In 'Gali Gali Chor Hai' (2012), Satish Kaushik played the loud, blustering uncle while Mushtaq Khan played the nervous, stammering neighbor. Kaushik would deliberately over-deliver his lines to throw Khan off, forcing him to react with real fluster — that stammer wasn't scripted.
• Satish Kaushik was a mentor figure to Mushtaq Khan off-screen. During the shoot of 'Bharat' (2019), Kaushik would pull Khan aside between takes and give him notes on comic timing — even though both were seasoned actors. Khan later said Kaushik treated him like a younger brother.
• Mushtaq Khan once said in an interview: 'Satish ji used to tell me, "You don't need to act funny. Just stand next to me and look worried — the audience will laugh." And he was right.'
