• Rama Narayanan cast Jeevitha in 'Ilamai' (1985) after seeing her in a small Telugu role. He later said he picked her because she had 'innocence and fire' — a combo he needed for the film's double role.
• On the set of 'Vetrikani' (1985), Rama Narayanan would block Jeevitha's movements during emotional scenes — literally standing in her eyeline — to force her to react without looking at the camera. She later admitted it made her performance sharper.
