• For 'Ek Se Bure Do', the director wanted two actors who could genuinely look like they'd kill each other over a petty loan. Yashpal and Govind were the only pair who said yes without asking for a script change.
• In 'Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal', Govind Namdev deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in every confrontation scene. He told Yashpal on set: 'You're the fuse, I'm the bomb. If I go fast, the scene ends too soon.'
• During the shoot of 'Ajab Singh Ki Gajab Kahani', Yashpal and Govind shared a room in a small-town lodge for 40 days. They cooked their own meals because the unit couldn't find a cook who'd stay. Govind still calls Yashpal 'chai-wala' because Yashpal made tea every morning.
• Yashpal Sharma once said in an interview: 'Govind ji and I never rehearsed. We'd just look at each other and start. If one of us laughed, the other would make it worse. That's why our scenes feel like real fights — because half the time, we were actually trying not to crack up.'
• The raw, unpolished shouting match between Yashpal and Govind in 'Ek Se Bure Do' became a template for small-town feud scenes in later Haryanvi-language indie films. Local directors in Rewari still cite that scene as the reason they started casting real theatre actors instead of models.
