• They first met on the set of Unees-Bees (1980) because the director, Sisir Mishra, needed a fresh pair of young actors who could handle both action and dance. Mithun was already a rising star from Mrigayaa, but Swaroop was a newcomer — and Mishra deliberately paired them to create a 'new age' buddy dynamic.
• In Karm Yudh (1985), Mithun played the loud, impulsive brother while Swaroop played the quiet, brooding one. Swaroop later said in an interview that Mithun would deliberately slow down his dialogue delivery in their scenes together so Swaroop's silences wouldn't feel awkward — a small trick that made their contrast work.
• During the shoot of Param Dharam (1987), Mithun and Swaroop shared a room in a small Ooty hotel for three weeks. Swaroop cooked dal-rice every night because Mithun hated the hotel food. They stayed friends long after the film flopped.
• Swaroop Kumar once said about Mithun: 'He never treated me like a junior. On the sets of Unees-Bees, he’d rehearse fight scenes with me until 2 AM because I was nervous. He didn’t have to do that.'
• Their pairing in Unees-Bees (1980) was one of the earliest Hindi films to feature two male leads who were both dancers — the climax dance-off became a template for later 'dance battle' films like Disco Dancer (1982) and even influenced the choreography in the 1990s film Raja Hindustani.
