• Riteish and Vivek first met on the set of Masti (2004) because director Indra Kumar wanted two actors who could match each other's comic timing beat-for-beat. Neither had done a pure sex comedy before, and they spent a week improvising the 'condom buying' scene together before filming it.
• In all four films, Riteish played the nervous, reluctant guy while Vivek played the overconfident instigator. Vivek would deliberately push his lines faster during takes to throw Riteish off, forcing him to react in real panic — that's why their arguments feel so genuinely flustered on screen.
• After the disastrous reviews of Great Grand Masti (2016), Riteish and Vivek didn't speak for nearly a year. They patched things up only when a mutual friend forced them into a room and made them watch the film together — both admitted they'd only signed it for the paycheck.
• The success of Masti (2004) directly greenlit the entire 'Masti' franchise — without their pairing proving that a crude sex comedy could work with mainstream stars, Grand Masti and Great Grand Masti would never have been made.
