• Minissha Lamba was cast opposite Sanjay Dutt in 'Anthony Kaun Hai?' (2006) after the director, Raj Kaushal, saw her in a TV ad. Sanjay, then 47, reportedly joked on set that she was young enough to be his daughter — and they leaned into that awkward age gap for the film's comic tension.
• In 'Kidnap' (2008), Sanjay played a ruthless kidnapper and Minissha played his victim. She later said in an interview that Sanjay deliberately stayed in character between takes — not speaking to her, keeping his distance — to make her genuine fear read on camera. It worked: her trembling scenes are the most remembered part of the film.
• Despite making four films together, Sanjay and Minissha never became friends off-screen. In a 2013 interview, Minissha admitted they barely exchanged a word outside of scenes. 'He was always surrounded by his own people,' she said. 'We were co-stars, not buddies.'
