• In Mr. Natwarlal (1979), Waheeda Rehman played a classical dancer opposite Satyendra Kapoor's villain. She actually choreographed her own dance sequences, and Kapoor later admitted he had to rehearse his reaction shots twice as hard just to keep up with her timing.
• During the shoot of Dharam Kanta (1982), Satyendra Kapoor would bring homemade snacks for the entire crew every Friday. Waheeda Rehman later told a trade magazine that he was the only co-star who remembered she was allergic to peanuts — he always packed a separate box just for her.
• They first worked together in Mr. Natwarlal (1979) because director Rakesh Roshan specifically wanted a seasoned actress to ground Kapoor's over-the-top villainy. Roshan later said he cast Waheeda because he knew she wouldn't let Kapoor chew the scenery — and she didn't.
• Their third and final film together, Himmatwala (1983), was a massive hit that directly launched Jeetendra's 'jumping jack' action-hero image. But behind the scenes, it was Waheeda and Kapoor's tense face-off scene in the courtroom that became the template for every 80s Bollywood villain-vs-heroine confrontation that followed.
• Satyendra Kapoor once said in a 1985 interview: 'Waheeda ji taught me that a villain doesn't have to shout to be scary. She would just look at me with those eyes, and I would forget my lines.'
