• Tusshar Kapoor wasn't the first choice for the role of Lucky in Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. Rohit Shetty originally wanted a bigger star. Tusshar auditioned twice and even called Shetty personally to convince him he could pull off the stammering comic timing. Shetty finally gave in after Tusshar improvised the entire 'main hoon Lucky' introduction on the spot.
• In Golmaal 3, Rohit Shetty deliberately paired Tusshar's Lucky with Ajay Devgn's Gopal for the 'bhai-bhai' track because he realized Tusshar's deadpan delivery was the perfect foil to Ajay's loud, physical comedy. Shetty told Tusshar to never react to Ajay's punches — just stare blankly. That one note created the entire comic rhythm of their scenes together.
• The success of Golmaal: Fun Unlimited directly led to Rohit Shetty casting Tusshar in Sunday (2008) — a film that was originally written for a different actor. Because Tusshar's Lucky became a fan favorite, Shetty wrote a whole new character for him in Sunday: the mute, expressionless cop. That character then became the template for every 'silent comic' role in Shetty's later films.
• On the sets of Golmaal Again, Tusshar Kapoor was the only actor Rohit Shetty allowed to improvise his lines without prior approval. Shetty told the crew, 'If Tusshar changes a line, just roll camera. He knows the character better than I do.' Tusshar would often rewrite his own stammering dialogues the night before shooting.
