• They first shared screen space in 'Jawaani' (1984) because the producers needed a fresh pair to cash in on the youth market — Moushumi was already a star, Neelam was just 16 and making her debut. The director admitted later that he paired them specifically to let Neelam learn on the job from Moushumi's timing.
• In 'Aag Hi Aag' (1987), Moushumi deliberately slowed down her dialogue delivery in every scene with Neelam — she told the editor to keep her own reactions a beat late so Neelam's nervous energy would pop on screen. That film is the only one where critics called Neelam 'watchable'.
• During the shoot of 'Waqt Ki Awaz' (1988), Neelam's mother would sit in Moushumi's vanity van every single day. Moushumi taught Neelam how to handle male co-stars who got too friendly — she'd say 'just stare at their forehead until they look away.' Neelam still uses that trick.
• Their only hit together, 'Aag Hi Aag' (1987), directly inspired the 1990 film 'Kroadh' — the producer saw their fight scene and decided to build an entire franchise around female-led action. That franchise never happened, but the scene itself became a reference point for stunt choreographers in the '90s.
