• They first faced off in Jwalamukhi (1980) because the director needed a villain who could match Shatrughan's booming voice. Goga Kapoor was the only actor who didn't flinch during their first dialogue rehearsal.
• In Ramkali (1985), Shatrughan deliberately slowed his delivery during their confrontation scene. He told Goga to take the lead on the physical aggression. The result: Goga's manic energy made Shatrughan's calm seem terrifying.
• During the shoot of Zalzala (1988), Goga Kapoor would bring homemade thepla to set every morning. Shatrughan, a Bengali, called it 'the only reason I survived the Gujarat schedule.' They shared lunch together for all three films.
