Love Aaj Kal is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film stars Saif Ali Khan in a dual role alongside Deepika Padukone, with Rishi Kapoor, Giselli Monteiro, and Neetu Singh in supporting roles. The story follows two parallel love stories set in different eras — one in modern London and one in 1960s India — exploring whether the nature of love has changed over time. The film was produced by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan under Illuminati Films and Maddock Films. It was a critical and commercial success, grossing ₹120 crore worldwide and becoming the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2009. The soundtrack, composed by Pritam and Salim–Sulaiman, was also widely praised. Love Aaj Kal was released theatrically on 31 July 2009.

Storyline
Jai and Meera are a modern couple in London who break up to pursue their careers. Jai meets an old man named Veer, who tells him his own love story from the 1960s. As Veer's tale unfolds, Jai begins to question whether he made the right decision. The film asks: has love really changed, or do we just express it differently?
