The Blue Umbrella(2007)
The Blue Umbrella is a 2005 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. It stars Shreya Sharma as Biniya and Pankaj Kapur as Nandu Khatri. The story is set in a small village in Himachal Pradesh and follows a young girl who trades her lucky necklace for a beautiful blue umbrella. Her possession sparks jealousy in the village shopkeeper, leading to theft and conflict. The film is an adaptation of Ruskin Bond's 1980 novel of the same name. It won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film in 2007. The film was released in theaters on August 10, 2007.

Storyline
