Yahaan(2005)
Yahaan (English: Here) is a 2005 Indian Hindi-language romantic war thriller film directed by Shoojit Sircar in his directorial debut. It stars Jimmy Sheirgill as Captain Aman, an Indian army officer, and Minissha Lamba as Adaa, a Kashmiri woman. The film is set in Kashmir during the conflict between terrorists and the Indian military. It follows the forbidden love story between a soldier and a local girl whose brother has joined the terrorists. The film was produced by Sahara One Motion Pictures and Red Ice Films. It was shot on location in Kashmir, giving it a raw and realistic feel. Critics praised the performances and the film's honest tone, though some found the pacing slow. The soundtrack, composed by Shantanu Moitra with lyrics by Gulzar, was well received. The film was screened at the 7th Ocean's Cinefan Film Festival, where it won the Special Jury Prize. It was released in theaters on 29 July 2005.

Storyline
Captain Aman is an Indian army officer posted in war-torn Kashmir. He falls in love with Adaa, a local Kashmiri woman. But her brother is a terrorist, and Aman's duty is to fight him. Their love is forbidden by both their families and the army. Aman must choose between his heart and his mission.
