Trivia
- This was Rohit Shetty's first film as a director, before he became famous for his comedy and action movies.
- The film's plot was inspired by the real-life hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814 in 1999.
- Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn had previously worked together in major hits like 'Khakee', which released the same year.
- The movie featured several dangerous stunts performed without extensive CGI, which was common for action films of that era.
- Despite being an action thriller, the film's music was composed by the duo Anand Raj Anand, known for more romantic scores.
- It was one of the early films shot extensively at airports and inside aircraft sets to create a realistic hijack scenario.
- The film's title 'Zameen' translates to 'Land', symbolizing the conflict over territory and homeland.
