Pitaah(2002)
Pitaah is a 2002 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. It stars Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nandita Das, and Om Puri. The story follows Rudra, a poor laborer whose nine-year-old daughter is raped by the sons of a powerful village landlord. When the corrupt legal system fails to deliver justice, Rudra takes matters into his own hands. The film is inspired by John Grisham's novel A Time to Kill. It was released on 4 January 2002 and was a box office failure. The film is noted for its raw depiction of rural corruption and a father's desperate love.

Storyline
Rudra is a poor laborer in a village ruled by the cruel Thakur. When the Thakur's sons rape his nine-year-old daughter, Rudra tries to get justice through the police and courts. But the system is corrupt. The doctor lies. The police take bribes. Left with no choice, Rudra decides to kill the rapists himself.
