Trivia

  • This film was released under the title 'Waah! Tera Kya Kehna' in India but was marketed internationally as 'Guru Govinda' to capitalize on the star's popularity.
  • The movie features Govinda in a rare double role, playing both the devoted son Raj and the look-alike conman Banne Khan.
  • Director Manoj Agrawal had previously worked with Govinda on the 1999 film 'Haseena Maan Jaayegi', which was also a comedy.
  • Despite being a comedy, the plot involves themes of family betrayal and a conspiracy to declare a character mentally incompetent, blending drama with humor.
  • The film's soundtrack, composed by Anand Raj Anand, did not produce any major hit songs, unlike many of Govinda's earlier successful movies.
  • Actress Raveena Tandon was initially considered for a lead role, but the final female lead was played by another actress from that era.
  • The movie performed poorly at the box office, contributing to its status as a lesser-known entry in Govinda's filmography from the early 2000s.
