Storyline
During the violent Partition of India in 1947, a Sikh truck driver named Tara Singh saves a Muslim woman named Sakina from a mob. They fall in love and get married. Seven years later, Sakina is forced to return to Pakistan by her powerful father. Tara must cross the border illegally to bring his wife and their son back home.
